As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I’m passionate about working with individuals on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, and self-esteem issues. I aim to help individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and self-awareness. I primarily employ a person-centered approach, through which I create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space. This allows for an exploration of thoughts and feelings at an individual’s own pace, fostering self-discovery and personal empowerment. I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as mindfulness-based practices, to aid in the discovery of inner sources of strength, and to provide practical strategies for symptom relief.
With a commitment to tailoring therapy to each individual’s unique needs, I strive to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship that supports clients in achieving their goals and cultivating a more fulfilling life. My approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and a deep belief in the capacity of each person to grow and thrive.
I would like to commend you on your courage in taking the first step towards getting support, and I would welcome the opportunity to partner with you.

Hi, I’m Mackenzie! I am a psychotherapy intern here at SolutionFirst Therapy. I have experience working with teenagers and young adults, along with postsecondary education in psychology.
Do you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck? Many young adults feel pressure to keep up, make the “right” choices, or have everything figured out, which can lead to stress, self-doubt, and emotional exhaustion.
Starting therapy can be a big step and doesn’t require having all the answers. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can slow down, talk openly, and explore what you are feeling. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique goals. I support young adults by helping them understand patterns, build practical tools, and reconnect with themselves in ways that feel realistic and sustainable.

Life can feel overwhelming when anxiety, burnout, or perfectionism begin to take over. Especially during periods of transition, self-discovery, or constant pressure to “keep it together.” You may feel stuck in your head, disconnected from your body, or unsure how to build confidence and self-trust. Therapy can be a space to slow down, make sense of these experiences, and reconnect with yourself in a more grounded way.
I work primarily with women and young adults, including neurodivergent individuals, who are navigating anxiety, self-esteem and body image concerns, as well as emotional exhaustion and inability to truly relax. My approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from CBT, emotion focused, somatic, mindfulness other evidence-based therapies. Together, we explore patterns, emotions, and values while building practical tools and self-compassion so change feels both meaningful and sustainable.
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to handling everything on your own. My goal is to offer a calm, supportive space where you feel understood and empowered to move toward a life that feels more aligned, balanced, and authentic. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

I am a psychotherapy intern with a background in community development and postsecondary education, most recently working as a criminology instructor at a local college. As a mother of two, I bring a deep appreciation for the complexities of relationships, family life, and personal growth. Outside of my professional work, I find inspiration in nature and enjoy expressing creativity through cooking.
I am passionate about supporting individuals and couples as they work toward becoming the best version of themselves. I strive to offer a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore challenges at their own pace. I have a particular interest in helping couples navigate communication stress and strengthen their emotional connection.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing primarily from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centred approaches. I value each client’s unique experiences and work alongside them to build insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
